I've been looking into the same thing myself and I found that apparently RRM sells the resistors for these exact lights. I'm currently awaiting reply from them as to how to go about ordering these resistors and whether they are direct clip on or if you'll need to do some sort of splicing of wires.

Also for all you Evo owners: Be sure to get these resistors ASAP, as it not only disables cruise control, but also your traction control as well

edit: just got word back from RRM, the resistors are 40 bucks shipped, call the 800 number to order the part
